Classic low-ceiling country pub. Upmarket, comfortable and cosy living-room style decor and lighting. The food is definitely worth leaving Oxford for, 4.5 stars. Front-of-house managers are attentive and reliable. Parking available on-site. Definitely one to bookmark. Think there are rooms to stay the night if you want.
Met up with a friend for drinks and a meal, the staff were very attentive and professional. The food was excellent, they have a new executive chef. This is a lovely place and very well appointed. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening.
Beautiful little hotel with only 7 rooms but really well appointed. Loved the roll top bath and the fireplace in the room. Good selection of coffee tea facilities and the pub restaurant and breakfast were top notch. Trying to decide when to return again
Great food. Knowledgeable and courteous staff. Supported by a very good wine list with everything non-fizz available by the glass. Best to book as it appears to get rather busy.
We had a gorgeous Boxing Day meal here. We had a private area of the restaurant and enjoyed lots of delicious dishes. The pub was beautifully decorated for Christmas and had a lovely ambiance. Everyone who served us was attentive and polite. Would love to return.
