Nice pub next to canal with decent amount of parking (don't drink and drive tho). Nice carvery on Sunday and you could pile your plate with veggies. Good service.
Excellent food and atmosphere, brought my Girlfriend here for a birthday meal on Saturday evening. We are very picky eaters and have high standards lol. Our food was excellent. I highly recommend the Black pudding on Bubble & Squeak followed by Steak. Very well presented and lovely piece of meat, proper chips. 5 stars. Will be eating here again.
Good food and we had a great chat with a young chap serving (Thursday night) who made us all feel so welcome. My mum was visiting the area for her 80th birthday and she thoroughly enjoyed his company! Thank you.
Would have been 5 stars but my meal was served barely warm. It should have been hot. I was with a group and the other person having the same choice of food had the same problem. The pub interior is pleasant and the staff friendly.
It really pains me to leave a bad review of this place. I first met my partner here and we went back to celebrate our anniversary again this year. This time it was for a lunch time sandwich and I was really disappointed. The sandwich was terrible and very seriously over priced. It did not seem very clean and although it was quiet the service was slow.. did I mention the awful sandwich.. it's still haunting me! They seem to be charging designer prices for sandwiches that are far worse than any you could pick up in a supermarket. The kitchen extractors belch burning oil smells all over the outdoor canal side seating. What a shame
